GO2020 | ENGAGE: June Week 1 - ABIDESample
June 4—Church Life, Part 2
Read
Acts 2:42-47
Reflect
The new believers began to put into practice what they were learning from the apostles. They heard these teachings as the very words of Jesus, and they lived them out in community. They met in small home groups as well as in large groups in the temple. Their lives were full of praise, and their gratitude enabled them to share what they had with those who were in need. God added even more new believers to their number as they lived out their lives in obedience to Christ. What is the best example of this kind of life that you have personally experienced? How did it impact your spiritual growth?
Engage
Reread the Scripture passage. You’ve now read it two days in a row. Does anything stand out to you in a different way than it did yesterday? Consider the ENGAGE questions again. Don’t be afraid of the repetition. We learn more about God each time we read and reread his Word.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 2:2. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan
Fulfilling the Great Commission does not happen by dropping gospel grenades and walking away. We fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples who are trained and equipped to also make disciples! This is multiplication! We teach new believers to obey all Jesus commanded. This will take time, commitment, and energy.
