Supernatural Solutions For Your EmotionsSample
DAY TWO: Depression From Compromise
Don’t let society rob you of what is most important in life. Say no to compromise, and say yes to the principles of God.
Ignoring God’s Word led Solomon to a compromised life, and he became depressed. Against God’s advice, he married women from nations that worshipped many false gods. He knew he was compromising, and he paid for his mistakes with his life. At the end of Ecclesiastes, he says, “Remember your Creator.” Solomon started well but departed from God and ended up with regrets and depression.
David also compromised when he committed adultery, inviting depression as a generational curse. David’s sin multiplied and ended up cursing his children’s lives. Even though God forgave David of his sins of adultery, with Bathsheba, and the indirect murder of her husband, Uriah, David lost four sons as a consequence of his disobedience to the Lord.
Do your own assessment of sin in your life, and take action to repent and obey the Word. God wants to give you supernatural rest when you are stressed and depressed. Start meditating on the Word of God to be healed from your depression.
