I Have Questions: DivorceSample
What comes to mind when you think about a shield? Is it an old knight in chainmail from history class? An epic battle scene from Lord of the Rings? Captain America’s iconic star? Shields are designed to protect us from attacks. Their whole purpose is to absorb the blows for us, keeping us safe from the pain and defeat they might bring.
In the same way, the Lord shields all who take refuge in Him. When we turn to Him in need, He protects us and keeps us safe, taking on the pain that feels like it might defeat us. When everything else changes around you, God’s shield of protection over us remains.
This week, reach out to a Small Group Leader or trusted adult, and ask them what taking refuge in the Lord looks like in their life.
