Known by God
Galatians 3:26, 4:5, 9
“You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ…that we might receive the full rights of sons…now that you know God – or rather are known by God…”
Our acceptance by God into his family is the greatest gift we could ever be given. The Creator of all things, the most powerful, loving, holy being in the universe is now our Father. We now carry his name and receive the full rights of sons. We are invited to know God. More importantly, through the Spirit we discover that God knows us. God knows our name! For those he calls, he also gives a new name, a new identity in his family. Our old identities are no longer relevant; we are now chosen sons and daughters of God.
Father God, I am humbled and amazed that I am known by you. Thank you for your amazing grace to me and the inheritance I have received in your family in your kingdom, by faith.
