He Will Reign
Revelation 11:15
“There were loud voices in heaven which said, ‘The Kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.’”
Christ’s Kingdom operates through free will and choice. Only those who choose Jesus and His offer of salvation by willingly surrendering their lives to Him are citizens of His Kingdom. Prayer both involves us in the purposes of God, and influences Kingdom battles and outcomes. God invites us to cooperate with Him in prayer.
Why would God ‘change the rules’ at the return of Christ to set up His earthly Kingdom and rule?
Jesus’ return will be influenced by the Spirit and the Bride, saying ‘come’. He will rule in the lives of those who will declare Him their King. Jesus will do then, what we are calling Him to do in our lives and our world now. The Kingdom of the world will become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ as we proclaim the rule of Christ in our lives, in our prayers, and through our faith-filled mission efforts. Jesus rules in His people today.
Lord Jesus, rule and reign over me and over this world. You are the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.
