"Sexodus" Relationships DevotionalSample
Endurance
No one gets in shape overnight. It takes days and weeks of training - hitting the gym, running, jogging, jump roping, etc. The same is true of having a relationship. No marriage continues strong on accident. It takes up front decisions to be people of perseverance and endurance to run the race strong. It takes emotional fitness. In a society that tends to give up on things rather quickly, this has seemingly become a lost art. For a marriage to be strong, both the husband and the wife need to determine to be people of 'grit.' People who refuse to give up. People who will fight to the death for each other and for their marriage.
Pray this morning that God would increase your endurance, and then don't be surprised when a situation arises which tests that endurance!
