## CHOOSING HUMILITY Psalm 131 starts with “ My heart is not proud, Lord ”. It can be a confession, but also a prayer. It’s so easy for us to compare ourselves to everybody else. When we do, it’s often comparing our worst against someone else’s highlight reel. But we all have a unique part to play in the body of Christ. We may play different parts but we all need each other. When we realise that we have different gifts we can be confident in who we are; confident and yet humble enough to realise that we can’t do much on our own. If we are willing to serve others and build God’s Kingdom together, He can do so much more with what we bring. Together we can see God’s plans and purposes being fulfilled, instead of comparing and competing against one another.
