## WHILE WE WAIT On our journey through life, we take one step after the other. Even when we can’t see how to get to the goal ahead, we can do something today. Hope is not passive. Waiting on the Lord is not about sitting down, doing nothing and just waiting for circumstances around us to change. Our hope is in the Lord, in His Word. We believe that God will be faithful to His Word, that we can trust Him to keep what He has promised. Our hope is in a Person, not in an event. So though we might experience disappointment and setbacks, our hope is not defined by that, but by the word of God. Hope can be a quiet confidence, while we are waiting, while we take one step after another.
