You Are Gifted: In view of God’s mercy
“Are you saved?” That old evangelistic question has been asked of millions of people. And how are you saved? Jesus Christ lived, suffered, died on a cross, rose from the dead, and ascended for the very purpose of saving you. Christians know what it is they’re saved from: from sin, death, and damnation in hell. Christians also need to know what it is they’ve been saved for: to serve God with their lives.
The Bible says in Romans 12:1, “I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.”
In other words--“God, you’ve been so good to me that I would like to give myself back to you.”
