Grief Bites: Finding Treasure In Hardshipsنموونە
Going through loss can be one of the worst..and one of the best..things to ever happen to a person:
• It is one of the worst because it has the capacity to seriously change every facet of a person's life--as well as their relationships. Loss is extremely difficult on so many levels.
• It has the hidden power to be one of the best because loss truly refines and sifts your life, relationships, goals, dreams, and your beliefs. Not a fun process…not at all…but you gain a truly authentic life that is more genuine and real than ever before.
If you are battling loss, it is easy to think that God didn’t protect you. It is easier to think that nobody cares and that nobody can relate to what you are going through.
The depression can be thick and overwhelming...and you can be tempted to lose hope…especially if you have put forth a true effort to "do the right thing" and to get your life back.
HANG IN THERE! God has not abandoned you. He has not failed to protect you. People care about you more than you know and there are many people who can truly relate.
Although your pain is great, please do not miss out on the little gifts God has for you.
You now have what many do not have: the ability to truly empathize & encourage others who are going through loss.
When you feel like crying, or you are having a bad day, look around you for people to encourage. Lifting other people up will lift you up as well.
On your worst days, get on a social media site and look for family or friends who are having a tough time and then encourage and build them up.
Seek to make a difference in the lives of everyone you know. If you help ONE person to see God's love, or their value & worth, by offering them love & encouragement, you not only impact that ONE life…you impact EVERY life they come into contact with.
Look for ways to be an absolute jewel to your loved ones who are going through loss.
Ask God to bless you with discernment, comfort, and in your efforts.
