Kazakhstan, with a population of 19,400,000, was once a part of the USSR and under strict non-religious oppression. However, since its independence in the 1990s, the Church has had a thriving resurgence in the country that ministers to Kazakhs, as well as Uighurs, Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, Dungans, and Turkmens.

Revival in the Kazakh church has brought forth several new churches in the capital city, in other parts of the nation, and branching out in neighboring countries. A focus has been placed on developing leadership schools and reaching the unreached through social ministry.

Prayer Points to Consider:

• Pray for unity and strength within the body of Christ in Kazakhstan to have the resources they need to fulfill their individual callings, and believers would stand firm in their faith, growing together as a witness to His love.
• Pray for church leaders to be trained and empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead with wisdom, vision, and courage as they continue to disciple believers and find creative ways to reach the lost. Also, ask for God’s blessing upon church planting inside and outside the nation, with an eye to fulfilling His call to spread the Gospel throughout Eurasia and the world.
• Ask Father for opportunities to share the Gospel with those who have not yet heard it, especially in Kazakhstan’s regions where Christianity is not well known. As world events change daily, ask the Lord to use this season to stir hearts for His truth and love.
• Speak in Jesus’ Name, His protective covering over every Christian worker for protection, provision, and financial resources. May they be equipped and encouraged so that the Spirit’s momentum will continue to work through them—and all believers—to reach the lost.
• Pray for the social ministries in Almaty and across Kazakhstan that they would meet the needs of the communities and be a tangible expression of God’s love and care.

Dear Lord Jesus...I bring Kazakhstan before You. I ask for the continued growth and strengthening of the churches nationwide and for their leaders to be filled with Your wisdom, humility, and vision in the Holy Spirit. May these churches be vibrant, powerful witnesses of Your love. I ask for open doors for hungry hearts to know You that Your truth would transform lives throughout Kazakhstan. I also pray that government leaders will desire and uphold religious freedom and the new religious laws, bringing protection and creating an atmosphere where the Gospel can be preached openly. Finally, may Kazakhstan continue to serve as a hub of stability and unity for the entire region. I seal this prayer In Your Almighty Name, Lord Jesus. Amen!
