Who Are You God?

Yesterday, we learned how the enemy likes to twist God's word as one of his battle strategies in this spiritual war. But that's not his only trick. The enemy also attempts to get us to doubt WHO God is. I had a friend who was filling out an application for a Christian organization. One question on the form asked, “Do you know FOR SURE that you are going to Heaven?” That got them thinking. And the enemy used that question to open the door for them to doubt what they knew about God.

The enemy wins when we begin to doubt who God is and what He has done. We, as Christ-followers, have to have confidence, knowing that we are secure in Jesus. Nothing can stand against us. It’s okay to have questions and doubts. But what we do with them is important. Do we succumb to the doubts? Or do we take our doubts and questions to God?

Doubts are not sin.
Questions are not sin.
When we turn to God with our doubts and questions, He is faithful and will always meet us where we are.

And as we wrestle out our faith, we have to remind ourselves daily of these truths:

God loves me.
Jesus died for me.
I am secure in Jesus.
I will be with God one day.

That won’t change. Nothing can negate that. We serve a faithful God. And we fight a tricky enemy. But his tricks won’t catch us slipping in our doubts.

Question to Ponder:

If your faith is in Jesus, how are you reminding yourself daily of your confidence in God?
