Reading With the People of God #9 - Faithfulnessنموونە
Memorization Challenge:
13 And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the Lord has set a king over you. 14 If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well.- Samuel 12:13-14
Primer:
Today’s readings explore the theme of hearing God’s call and responding faithfully. Samuel’s willingness to hear God’s voice and respond with obedience sets an example of faithfulness. In the Gospel, Jesus speaks to the Samaritan woman, offering her living water and revealing God’s faithfulness to all people. Both stories challenge us to listen for God’s voice and respond with faithfulness, trusting that He is always faithful to meet our deepest needs.
Question to reflect on: How are you listening for God’s voice in your life, and how can you respond with faithfulness to His call?
