Holiness: A Call for Our Days

DAY 2 OF 6

God’s Correction as an Expression of Love

Discipline is a fundamental part of the relationship between God and His children. In Hebrews 12:7, we are reminded that the correction God brings into our lives is a demonstration of His deep fatherly love. Often, we may view discipline as something negative or painful, but in reality, it is a sign that we belong to God as His beloved children. Just as an earthly father corrects his child to help them grow, God also corrects us to shape us according to His purpose.

God’s correction is not punitive but instructive. It is through divine discipline that we are led to a life of greater holiness and righteousness. In our Christian journey, we face trials, challenges, and difficulties that are often used by God to perfect us. These moments teach us to trust in Him more and to depend on His grace. By accepting God’s correction, we acknowledge that He has a greater plan for our lives and that His wisdom is infinitely superior to our own.

It is important to remember that God’s correction does not always come in ways we expect or desire. It can come through difficult situations, people who challenge us, or even through reading His Word, which reveals areas where we need to grow and change. Regardless of the form correction takes, our role is to accept this discipline with humility and gratitude, knowing that God is working for our good.

Throughout life, we will be constantly shaped by God’s correction. This process purifies, refines, and makes us more like Christ. Rather than resisting discipline, we should embrace it as an opportunity for spiritual growth, knowing that God corrects us because He loves us deeply. He desires that we become children who reflect His character and holiness.

About this Plan

Holiness: A Call for Our Days

Holiness is a daily call to separate ourselves from the world and align with God's will. It requires continuous transformation, renewal of the mind, and the pursuit of peace. In a world that constantly pulls us in another direction, being holy means choosing, day after day, to live according to divine principles. God invites us to experience His good, pleasing, and perfect will. Choose holiness today.
