The Unknown Name

His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. (Revelation 19:12 ESV)

Jesus is so much more than we can ever fully comprehend. There is a depth to His being that we will spend eternity discovering. The unknown name signifies that there are aspects of Jesus’ character and nature that are beyond our understanding. Yet, even with all that we do not know, the most important truth is that Jesus loves us. His love is the foundation on which we can build our lives.

Prayer: Father God, I stand in awe of the mystery of who Jesus is. Thank you for revealing so much of yourself to us, yet I know there is still so much more to discover. Help me to grow in my relationship with Jesus, always seeking to know him more deeply. In Jesus' name, Amen.
