DAY 3 OF 6

Relationships

Life moves at the speed of relationships. No matter who we are, we share this in common—the influence of other people in our lives. We exist to have meaningful connections with others!

People are a vital part of our life's purpose and journey, so it's natural to want the relationships in your child's life to be the right ones, especially when they are away from you and your daily oversight.

As a parent, now is not the time to get bogged down with fear about who they are hanging out with or the relationships they are cultivating.

Instead, you should follow scripture's advice: " Let not your heart be troubled. Don't let it be afraid."

How?

Pray and speak God's word over your child. Your prayers and God's word can draw the right people into your child's life and send the wrong people running expeditiously away from them!

Say this prayer over your child:

Father, I ask that you surround [insert child's name] with good people. Thank you for bringing loyal, respectful, truthful, genuine, kind, and God-fearing friends into [child's name] life. I thank you that [insert child's name] is surrounded by friends who are supportive and committed to living good values. Give [insert child's name] a discerning spirit to know and connect with the right people. Help [insert child's name] to be a loyal, respectful, truthful, genuine, kind, and God-fearing friend to others, to be a good steward of your grace and a blessing to other people daily in the name of Jesus.
