God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )

DAY 55 OF 55

Philippians – Day 5

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” is a popular Christian phrase. We print it on shirts, bumper stickers, home decor items, and even athletic gear. We quote it when faced with a difficult or seemingly impossible task. Some even take it to mean they can do things like fly or walk through walls.

God is omnipotent and still does miracles today, but that is not what Paul was talking about in this passage. So, what does Paul mean? He’s talking about being able to remain content in every circumstance. In good times and bad, we can experience joy and satisfaction through Christ.

Today, whether you encounter abundance or lack, remind yourself, “I can be content in all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
