God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )

DAY 37 OF 55

Galatians – Day 2

At the end of the nineteenth century, Rev. Charles Sheldon coined the phrase, “What would Jesus do?” This was popularized in his classic novel, “In His Steps.” By the end of the twentieth century, the acronym WWJD was printed on bracelets, t-shirts, bumper stickers, and everything in between. American Christians were so inundated with WWJD merchandise that many of them saw it as nothing more than a slogan. Sadly, to some, it even became a joke.

Paul tells us that, as Christians, it is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives within us. This makes “What would Jesus do?” a question we should ask ourselves sincerely. If Jesus is living in and through us, our lives should reflect that truth. Take a moment to reflect on what it means for Christ to live within you.
