Expose the Secret Plots of the Enemy: 7 Days of Strategic Prayer نموونە
Day 6: Remain in the Battle Until the Enemy’s Plans are Destroyed … Completely
Even though Haman was killed in chapter seven that was not the end of the story. God does not allow exposure to just eliminate the enemy. His desire is to settle matters for His people and destroy the enemy’s plans completely, so that we will not have to continue to face the same battles. His plan is to bring forth restoration.
After the exposure of wickedness, there may be a time of unrest and fighting, as we see in the book of Esther. Haman was killed, but the Jews still had to battle and defeat those who came against them. Remember, there was a spirit of murder released into the kingdom thanks to the decree that King Xerxes issued in chapter three. Enemies of the Jews still came against them to murder them, but God allowed the Jews to overpower and kill 500 men who came against them on the first day of battle.
Instead of relenting and settling for the victory experienced on day one, Queen Esther asked the king to allow them to do it again the next day.
The lesson is this: just because we see an initial victory, it does not mean that we take the pressure off the enemy. We are to continue to press on through spiritual warfare, prayer, and fasting, until the matter is completely settled and there is overwhelming victory and overturning of the enemy’s plans.
Don’t abandon the battlefield too soon.
Prayer:
Yahweh-Nissi, thank you for being our banner who gives us victory. Thank you for being the Alpha and Omega; the One who starts and brings things to a completion. I confess that we, your warriors, will be overwhelmingly victorious. We are more than conquerors and there is nothing that we cannot do through Christ Jesus who gives us strength. I declare fortitude, tenacity, and persistence for the people of God, and I thank you Jesus that you have already bruised and crushed the head of Satan. The enemy is under our feet. No weapon formed against the people and plans of God will prosper. In Jesus’ name, amen.
