It's Going to Be Alright (The Art of Grieving): 6 Days Through the Book of Joelنموونە
Amidst the pressures and griefs of life, we hold onto a Hope that transcends our present circumstances. This Hope is rooted in the Glorious Promise of Heaven—a future so magnificent that it outshines all eras and offers an Eternal Dwelling with God. As you navigate through trials and heartache, you can focus on the assurance that your ultimate destination is filled with God's Presence, Abundance, and Eternal Joy. Joel 3:17-21 paints a vivid picture of this, and in it, we find some beautiful promises.
The Promise of God's Unchanging Presence.
"So you shall know that I am the Lord your God." This assurance is a Rock to cling to in times of grief and hardship. Knowing that God is with us gives us strength and courage to face each day, no matter how difficult.
The Promise of God's Overflowing Abundance.
"The mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water." Even when we experience times of drought and dryness, God brings forth new life and blessings. Our trials are not the end; God's Abundance is on the horizon.
The Promise of God's Permanent Dwelling.
"The Lord dwells in Zion." His Presence is not fleeting or temporary. He makes His House our Home and desires to dwell with us permanently. This assurance brings us peace and stability, knowing that we are never alone, even in our darkest moments.
The Promise of an Eternal State.
"Judah shall abide forever and Jerusalem from generation to generation." This Promise of an Eternal State gives us Hope beyond this life. The tribulations we face now are temporary compared to the Eternal Joy and Peace we will experience with Him.
Even when grief and trials can make us feel stuck, the truth is that the best is still to come. God's Presence over our pressure gives us the strength to persevere. He turns our wastelands into flourishing valleys. As we hold onto His Promises, we find hope and joy, knowing that He is with us and that Heaven awaits. The best is still to come!
Thank you for coming on the journey! I pray you are leaving stronger and closer to Jesus than you came.
Much love,
Levi
