Regain Your Trust in Godنموونە

What can cause my trust in God to waver?
There are different reasons why Christians who go through difficult seasons waver in their faith and trust in God. It may be that a loved one passed who you believed would be healed. Or perhaps you are experiencing a very painful divorce or sudden unemployment. Others may struggle with depression or a mental illness for which there is seemingly no solution. Know this, you are not alone!
We cannot stop distressing things from coming our way, but we do have a choice in how we respond to them. People vastly differ in their response to difficulties. Many become despondent and decide to turn away from the Lord. Why does this happen?
In our challenging times, the enemy will try his utmost to convince us that God is against us or has forgotten about us. The best remedy to help us navigate through such seasons is to set our hearts and minds towards God. To focus with intent on Scriptures that wash our hearts and minds with the truths of who God really is, and to hold on to His promises regardless of our circumstances.
As you read here and now, will you not pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you? Second Corinthians 12:10 tells us that when we are weak, He becomes our strength. Simply and openly admit to the Lord in prayer all the weakness, doubt, and lack of trust in God you are currently experiencing. Ask Him to strengthen you in your trust and faith over the next few days.
