God Cares for Me

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. -1 Peter 5:7

The Promise: God cares for me.

The pressing weight on your chest seems immovable. But the truth is God is right there steadying you, encircling you in the heaviness, tenderly taking care of you. You can tell Him about what weighs you down. He bends His ear close to hear because His thoughts are caring toward you. He is tender, He is intimate, and He wants you to lean on Him. He can take the heaviness that hangs on you; hand it to Him. His care can comfort you through today.

Try This: Just Observe

Pause—shift your focus to the present. Where are you? What are you feeling? Observe what your body is saying and where your mind is. It’s OK if there are any straying or wayward thoughts; this is not a time to judge yourself or try to fight and avoid feelings or thoughts. Let the thoughts and feelings wash over you. Ask God where He is in this moment and examine where you have experienced His love today.
