Put His word above your own!
Sometimes I ask myself how much I can or should reveal of personal experience here in these texts. But I don’t want to hide anything that could help those who read or listen. I want to be an open book so you can see we all have these struggles.
"I'm never doing this again!"
Crying, I drove home from the concert. If you only saw the pictures on social media, you might think, "Wow, she's got it good! Déborah sings on great stages, has a band, tours different countries."
But behind EVERY performance there is a struggle. Which is why I went home crying after this concert, even though it was a great evening for the people in the audience! The applause was endless and afterwards I received overwhelming letters!
The struggles had already started days before with those unexpected storms that you’ve surely gone through too. They didn't stop during the sound check, continued during the concert in the form of quiet thoughts: "See how you bore the audience," and didn't stop afterwards, although people were standing in front of me crying because they had given their lives to Jesus that evening! The devil was still trying to convince me that all this is useless.
All this conflict costs enormous strength! And on my drive home, I heard myself say, "I'll never do this again."
Have you ever said, "I'll never do that again"?
Have you given up because the struggle is too hard? Maybe you're toying with the idea of giving up the fight for your marriage right now...maybe you’re overwhelmed by life in general.
May I shake you awake today?
The devil will ALWAYS try to discourage you with his lies! Now you urgently need the truth! It’s up to you to decide!
Open the Word of God and plead with Him to keep His Word and set you free by His truth. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32 NIV) "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." (Psalm 119:105 NIV)
Always put HIS word above your own! For His Word is full of life, even when you are at a loss!
You are a miracle!
