The God Who Sees You

DAY 9 OF 9

Have you already made up your mind?

What do you do when you come to an intersection and want to turn right? You get into the right lane in time and don't wait until the last moment, correct? Because if you are indecisive, it's going to be too late to turn. Instead of turning where you were planning to, you will have to proceed straight ahead.

That reminds me of something about the God, "...who looks at you," (Genesis 16:13 NIV). He has been seeing you since before you even came to earth: "My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth." (Psalm 139:15 NIV)

Before you even set out on the path of life, He set His eyes on you. He has given you the choice from the beginning, whether to walk with Him or to go where you decide. This is the free will that people talk about.

But because we are human beings, we sometimes continue along without thinking about where we actually want to go. We think, "Yeah, I can decide that later."

Then when our lives suddenly go off track, we suddenly want to decide for God after all, because we need Him. But suddenly that doesn't seem to work anymore. That last-minute lane change becomes difficult. That “lane” is now full of lies like, "Now God doesn't want anything to do with you," or, "You screwed up; you should have contacted God sooner."

This is the danger that comes when you go down the path without a clear decision for God.

Free will can quickly land you in a prison.

But your God, "...who looks at you" (Genesis 16:13 NIV), wants to give you a freedom that will get you out of that prison!

Have you then made a very clear decision for God?

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

The God Who Sees You

“...You are the God who sees me… I have now seen the One who sees me.” (Genesis 16:13). Do you feel not seen - by friends, family, God? Or maybe you feel rejected? If that is the struggle you are facing, it’s time to be reminded that you are seen by God.
