God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)نموونە

Hosea – Day 1
Our culture generally agrees adultery is wrong, yet it’s still a prevalent issue. Many of us have watched as a loved one, or perhaps even ourselves, suffered through the hurt caused by someone else’s betrayal. In movies, we cheer on the brave victim who walks away from the perpetrator. I imagine that Israel didn’t all get-together and agree to stop following God. We don’t always set out to sin, yet we do again and again.
So when we repeatedly choose our own desires over God whether intentional defiance or selfish subtlety, why doesn’t God walk away and find someone else to love? Because God doesn’t work on human reasoning. For Israel’s sake and our own, God exchanges our selfishness with His love time and time again. We may, like Israel, experience seasons where we have left our relationship with God behind, but He pursued Israel and He pursues us with no end.
