LIVING WITH PAIN
Where is the pain in your life right now? Don’t you wish it would just disappear? Pain is our enemy, isn't it?
Well, actually not. One of the features of some kinds of leprosy is
that feeling in people's extremities--their fingers and toes--is lost. They feel nothing as the nerves die. And that's even worse. You see, pain receptors are the body's vital early warning system, and pain messages mean that something is wrong, that something needs to be addressed right away or tissue, bones, and organs could be damaged or destroyed. Pain messages highlight a problem and demand that something be changed.
God has an agenda for letting you experience pain, but it is a loving agenda. What do you suppose he might be up to? Let’s talk . . .
