DAY 7 OF 7

Good News - Jesus Fixed It

Apocalyptic literature. Nice and light reading if you do this first thing in the morning. The Greek base of the word apocalyptic means to reveal, or to pull the curtain back, and that’s what God does for John (and all of us) in the book of Revelation. It might seem like a weird passage to celebrate the Good News of Jesus but read it again.

Here’s the facts: the dragon (Satan) is against the woman (humanity). He’s not fighting God, despite everything we hear in our modern-day culture. Satan knows that he has already lost the battle, so the only tool left in his box is to try to deceive and manipulate us humans. But when Satan’s powerlessness is met with God’s power and His redemptive plan for all of His creation, God prevails.

God created it. People broke it. Jesus fixed it.

Jesus is King. He is in control. He is worth our praise, our honour, our worship. Let’s live today in a way that tangibly celebrates this incredibly Good News. Love others as Jesus does, be patient as He is, and shine His light bright.
