We are not designed to live life alone
Our overall life experiences will mold and shape our beliefs and values. Sometimes, those beliefs and values do not align with God's word. For example, my personal childhood experiences were painful and heinous. I was failed by adults all around me, and therefore, I concluded that I couldn’t trust anyone and that all people did would hurt me. This created a deep-rooted fear that held me hostage even after I was out of that environment. It robbed me of living a life full of abundance that the lord wanted to give me, the friendships and community he desired so much to give me. I had to do my part by carrying my cross every day and surrendering to God. He had to uproot many things that were ultimately holding me back. Over time, he healed those areas of my life. The Lord had to renew my mind over time and show me what was from him and what was from myself. He then replaced those things with the gifts he wanted to give me. I received them joyfully, and today, I am thriving in relationships and my church community. God wants those things for you, too!
Friends, I encourage you to step into the church community. Even if you have anxiety, reservations, and fear, the Lord will reward you for taking a step of faith. You were not designed to live life alone. Genesis 1:18 says, “ Then the lord God said, “It is not good the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
After God named all the Good things he created, the first time we see God say It is not good for man to be alone. That’s how important it is that we not live a life of alone! Allow your church to love on you, encourage you, and be there for you. It’s okay to ask for help; you are not weak. It’s a sign of strength to say, “Hey, I am not okay, and I need help.” Your church would be delighted to come alongside you and support you. You made it to the last day of this devotional! Let us pray before departing:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the reader across this screen. I ask that you meet them right where they are. I pray that you would give them that final encouragement to be in the church community and ease their hearts, Father, of any fear or anxiety. May they position their hearts towards you in openness to receive from you. Lord, I pray that you would place them in the right church community and put the right godly friends in their life. As they go into this new journey of community, I pray that you will transform them from the inside out and that they will wholeheartedly trust you with every single step they take. I ask that you would renew their hearts and minds and deposit the things from heaven you desire to put in them. I lift this up in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

About this Plan
Growing up in a dysfunctional, broken family and being in and out of foster care has affected many areas of my life, including my relationship with God. It stopped me from joining a church community and pursuing everything that God wanted for me. If you find yourself lost, wondering how to step into the church community and have a relationship with God, you found the devotional!
