The Emergence of Man (Manhood) by Gladson Musondaنموونە
TRANSFORMATION- Trans-form /tran(t)sˈfôrm/
“A thorough or dramatic change in form, appearance or character of.”
The word part “trans” means, across or through. So, when you add this to the word formation or form, we get the idea that the change has not happened haphazardly. There have been other influences involved in bringing about this change (transformation). The external and internal influences in this process are what we called “information” in our previous discussion.
Transformation will take place whether we like it or not. The seat of this is in our mental faculties. What we think about it, what we mentally envision, what we internally conversate over. That’s why VISION (the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom), is very powerful. It has been said that men are visually stimulated. That being said, it’s no wonder pornography has been a very effective and efficient tool that the enemy has used against men to cripple our vision and future. We become or act out what we mentally picture and that picture is created by the type of information we surround ourselves with.
Again, this process of transformation is inward (in secret) but manifests itself outwardly thus affecting the world we live in. It’s not a question of “if?” but “when?” because transformation has an outward expression.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2 (NLT)
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (NKJV)
God gave us (men) vision so that we can create a world that represents Him. If we fail to protect our vision, we will be transformed into what we will not be happy with and someone else will have rule over our lives and future.
CALL TO ACTION:
Take a moment and look at the environment that you are in.
- What have you been occupying your mind with?
- What do you see concerning your future and assignment?
- Take time to evaluate what you have been focusing on. Make the necessary adjustments and changes so that you can dream the dreams God has for you. See what He sees and be transformed as He changes the way you think.
PRAYER:
Father, You are good, and Your love endures forever. I understand the power of vision and what it is intended to produce in me and the world around me. Forgive me for allowing myself to be wrapped in the wrong vision. My mind was created to express your glory. Your word says that I have the mind of Christ and so let that be what is fleshed out in my life. I once again yield to the transformative power of your word. Let it separate soul and spirit, dividing bone and marrow as it judges the thoughts and intents of my heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
