DAY 2 OF 22

PRAYING FOR FAMILY MEMBERS

As we partner with God to see His kingdom come and His will be done. There are very few areas that we want to see God move in more than in our families. God’s word lays out His desire to see our families marked by the love of God, to be filled with forgiveness, and to see all those who are lost come to the saving knowledge of God. God reconciled us to Himself, gave us a ministry of reconciliation, and wants to see our families reconciled! He wants our faith to be a light, a light that gets spread and passed on from generation to generation. Let’s pray that God will mold our families more and more into His image and that His light will shine through them. While some of these things may not be a reality in your family today, they are God’s desire. Lay hold of God’s desires for your family and start praying with Him to see them come to pass in your family. Here are some ways to pray for your family:

  • God's will to be done in our families (Matt. 6:9-10)
  • Pray for forgiveness to flow in our family (Matt. 6:12)
  • Pray for the love of God to mark our families (1 John 4:11)
  • Pray for the salvation of any family members who don’t yet know, love, and serve Jesus. (1 Tim. 2:3-4)
  • Pray for reconciliation in families (2 Cor. 5:19-20)
  • Pray for our children to know, love, and follow God all their days (Psalm. 78:5-7; Gen. 18:19)

About this Plan

Pray First: Seek • Pray • Unite

We are taking 21 days to seek God first. Prayer is powerful! Prayer is a way that we can partner with God to see His kingdom come and His will be done. When we pray together, it draws us closer to God, bringing not only results but unity as we seek Him together.
