Faith Renewed

DAY 2 OF 7

Don't Do It Alone!

I have been waiting for a particular miracle in my life for years!

As you know by now, I'm usually an open book, but this miracle is one I can’t share with you yet... but hopefully soon!

I had been praying for this for many years. Struggled. Shed so, so, so many tears, wanted to give up and then kept going again, only to actually experience my miracle some time ago!

At least it looked like it.... until a phone call changed everything and set me back years. I guess the miracle had backed out...and left me with my wound again after all.

Should I fight again? Start all over again? Cry again? Trust again? "God, I don't like it anymore! Giving up would be so much easier!"

Maybe you can relate right now. Maybe it's your relationship that was on a good path, yet now you're facing a pile of rubble again.

Or this cancer... it was actually defeated... but now it is back again. Fight again? Cry again? Trust again?

I shared with friends and told them what I had been fighting for alone for many years. And it was they who encouraged me: "Trust in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture." (Psalm 37:3 NIV)

Giving up, running away, sticking your head in the sand sometimes seems so much easier. But it doesn't change anything. Therefore, wait in trust for God's action.

Pulling others into the boat, opening my heart and talking and praying with others has given me new courage. I encourage you today:

—Open your heart, talk and pray with others.

—"Stay in the land," even if that means you have to keep fighting, keep trusting, keep enduring.

If you do so, you will experience God, even if the miracles don't happen right away!

You are a miracle!
