Fruit of the Spiritنموونە
Flowers are beautiful. What are some of your favourite types? There are so many to choose, from brightly coloured tulips to sweet-smelling roses.
Here’s the thing about flowers, they only last a little while before they begin to wilt and die. Even if you put them in a vase and follow the instructions to cut the stems and refill it with fresh water every few days, they don’t ever last longer than a week or two. They’ve been cut off from the plant where they were growing, so they’re not connected anymore to the tree or bush where they get their nourishment from.
Jesus said that you and I are like branches. For us to bear fruit, we need to stay connected.
Let’s look at the fruit ‘Patience’. Patience isn’t just having to wait for a long time. Patience is about our attitude while we are waiting. Patience is waiting without worrying, waiting with a happy heart. Things don’t always happen when we want them to. The Holy Spirit helps us be patient with other people. The Holy Spirit also helps us be patient for God’s timing. God isn’t on our time, but He is always on the right time.
