The Word Works in Marriageنموونە
My Next Step
By now, you have explored every key element of this verse and applied it to your life. The next step is to ask God how this applies to your most important relationships.
Are you married? If so, are you putting your hope in the Lord together? Can you easily see areas where you can lean into His strength and each other’s? For most couples, you can quickly identify each other’s areas of strength, but leaning into them is another thing altogether. It requires humility and grace.
Do you have kids? Are you frustrated with their behaviors? DO you feel like you keep having to say the same things repeatedly? You can run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.
Are you mentoring or discipling someone? Is it hard to see the fruit of your investment or deal with your own issues while loving them through theirs? This is where we soar because of who He is, not who we are or are not.
Are you involved in some type of community? Does being real and doing life with people feel messy sometimes? We get to practice living out this verse and trusting the God of the universe with the steps laid out in Isaiah 40:31.
As you navigate the coming days, weeks, and months use this passage to evaluate your world around you and direct your steps. Every day you get to choose to embrace your situation or circumstances, be present where you are, and celebrate the season you’re in.
Remember, you are not alone.
God is with you. He has heard your cry.
Believe Him.
He can and will transform your view of yourself, your spouse, and your family.
Invest where there is potential for change, knowing that it’s not because of your efforts but the power of God and the promises of God.
