The Word Works in Marriageنموونە

Isaiah 40:31 “I am one of those that hope in the Lord my God, and He will renew my strength. I will soar on wings like eagles; I will run and not grow weary; I will walk and not be faint.
What in the world does “I will soar on wings like eagles” mean?
As I researched and studied the words of this portion of scripture, there were power words to describe the action of “mounting up like wings of eagles.” Words like “ascend, be higher, arise, or bring up” are just a few. This is an invitation to rely on the Lord’s ability, not your own. God is inviting you and me to climb aboard and allow Him to carry us. That means He can and will carry you through no matter what you are walking through in your marriage or family.
When my kids were younger, we would take hikes in a state park close to the house. As soon as we reached a steep hill on the hike, my daughter or son would ask, “Daddy, can I get on your back?” I would squat down in front of her or him and allow them to climb aboard. The hill was steep for them but nothing for my wife and me to walk up. I could even say that my daughter and son soared up that hill on the strength of their father.
Can you see it now? God is inviting you today to climb on his back and soar far above the season you are in or your situation. Whether you’re walking through broken trust, financial strain, health issues, lack of intimacy, or communication struggles, these are all opportunities to climb up and soar through it all.
Prayer- Pray this out loud and declare truth in our lives.
Father, today I am asking you to stoop down in front of me so I can climb on your back. I want to soar on your wings today. I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me (Phil 4:13). I am not limited to my talents, abilities, or strength, nor do the pain or problems of today limit me. I have a Father that created all things, and He is making a way for me even though I can’t see it yet. However, my faith in His love calls forth the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1-3)
Action Step
I want to add a step in here for you today. Text or call a friend and invite them into the area you trust God to carry you over or through, specifically where it concerns your marriage or family. Ask them to come alongside you in prayer to agree with you and intercede for you. Avoid grumbling or complaining because those get you nowhere.
