#IBelieve (Leo Bigger)
I have already inherited something. I can tell you that it feels good to simply receive something without having done anything to earn it. Ok, it was “only” an advancement of my inheritance. One of our relatives sold a property and shared the income among the descendants. But due to this we were able to invest in our home ownership. That would be fine if the following were the case: Things always seem to happen when you least expect them.
And now? Are you jealous?
It is easy to become jealous if you compare yourself to others. He has more than me; she looks better than me; they experience more of Jesus than I do.
Today’s Bible text clearly shows us that we have no reason to be jealous, as a rich inheritance which we cannot yet perceive awaits you and me because we belong to God. And this is not only valid for the days that are to come, but it is already true today. God’s resurrection power is in us and available for us at all times. Wake up – it seems to be crying out to us! Everything that God has available is already in you.
Actionstep:
If everything that is prepared for you is already in you, then let us pray with faith for someone who does not know God yet. This is something small for God, who raised Jesus from the dead, to bring this friend out of a spiritual death to life.
