#TurnAround (Tobias Teichen)
Has your sense of orientation ever led you into a dead end? Now, I even have a great navigation system and I still manage to get lost. Really embarrassing. And then comes this woman’s voice which constantly repeats “Turn around!"
Have you come to a dead end in your life and could it be necessary to turn around? To make a 180° turn? Is there a quiet voice which has been saying “Turn around” for a long time? True “turning around” from my dead end begins by confessing to God that I need help, allowing God to enter into situations in which I no longer know what to do next and admitting that I really messed things up and I have lost perspective.
But this is often not so easy for us! Most of the time we live in the “But-I-am-my-own-boss” mode. But if there is a God who created you and me and the whole universe, will he not have a better overview of things and also of my life? Faith in Jesus Christ does not only mean that there is a God existing somewhere “up” there, but that he is really interested in me. And belief means trusting that this God knows the path of my life better than myself, and for this reason, he can remove me from the dead ends in my life.
Do you trust God and do you believe that he can really make his plan for you to succeed? To find this out, you have to “turn around,” “repent”: If you are honest to yourself, to God and to others, God will gladly help you!
Actionstep:
Be honest! Write down three things or situations where you need God’s help. Are there friends, for example, in your Smallgroup who can support you? Ask in your church if they have anything on offer that could help you take further steps.
