Qualifying for God's Anointingنموونە
GOD ANOINTS FAITHFULNESS, NOT “FACEFULNESS”
Many people carry “facefulness” (eye service), but God wants faithfulness. Faithfulness is what God anoints. If you can write songs, write them faithfully. Spend time in prayer, and let God give you songs from heaven. If God gives you the ability to back up songs, back other people up until God says you are faithful and adds anointing to your gift. We have a God that is our Rewarder (Heb. 11:6); men are not our rewarder.
When I started as a pastor 40 years ago, it didn’t make any difference to me what others were doing. I made up my mind to faithfully watch over the flock God has given me. The way I was preaching in that little sitting room is the same way I am preaching today. My message today is not different from my message then. I always gave my best at any time. I have never preached on any pulpit in the Body of Christ better than I preach in our church because this is where God called me to pastor the flock. It is because I am doing something serious for the Lord at my church that people deem it fit to invite me to minister at their meetings, therefore, my priority remains my church.
Don’t neglect your family members. Faithfully take care of them and visit them. Do what you are supposed to do for them. God is looking for faithful people. His eyes are running to and fro across the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward Him (2 Chr. 16:9). He anoints faithfulness.
PRAYER: Father, help me to stay faithful in what You have chosen me to do in Jesus’ name. Amen!
