QUALIFYING FOR GOD’S ANOINTING
After 40 years of heeding God's call, and I can boldly say, “NO REGRETS OBEYING THE LORD!” All the glory be to God. Without the anointing, every man will be ordinary.
No other time does this message become important for the saints of God than now, when the lines are almost blurred and the undiscerning may fall for the shadow and miss the real thing, as touching the matter of the anointing. No one ever did valiantly for the Lord without the anointing and no one ever got anointed without the express permission of God. However, what exactly does God anoint?
The knowledge of what God anoints will help you to position yourself properly for genuine anointing in these last days. No human being anoints another. Men of God can serve as pipes for the anointing but all genuine anointings come from one Source, and that is the Lord God Almighty. The Bible tells us in our text today that all of us (believers) have received anointing in measures out of the fullness of the anointing of Jesus Christ. We then need to understand what God looks for before He can anoint any individual. On the other hand, what are the things that do not move God?
In 1 Samuel 16, there is the story of a man named Jesse and his children, out of whom one, David, was anointed. What qualified David for the anointing and disqualified his brothers? I will be dealing with all that this month so that you can begin to build those things that will make you anointed into your life. The anointing makes you a blessing, not your ability, brilliance, or any other thing.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to always qualify myself for the anointing. My head will not lack oil in Jesus’ name. Amen!
