DAY 4 OF 20

Peter and John went up to the temple to pray when they passed by a man begging at one of the gates. The man who had been paralyzed his entire life asked Peter and John for some money. Peter responded not with monetary wealth but with heavenly wealth. He responded by telling the man about God’s love. In response, the man jumped to his feet, and he walked for the first time in his life! He followed Peter and John into the temple courts, as he just couldn’t help praising God. The man thought he needed money, and in reality, he did. But more than that, he needed healing. He needed his legs to work. And with the Holy Spirit’s leading, Peter and John could meet that man’s need and heal him. Now, while we may not have the exact same experience, we can follow in Peter and John’s footsteps. We can meet the needs we see around us with God’s love.

So this week, take a look around you. What needs do you see? Who can you help? Let God’s Spirit lead you to meet those needs with His love however you can.

About this Plan

Storyteller

Stories teach us life lessons that stick with us well after the last page is turned. That may be why Jesus often told stories to convey a big idea or truth. He knew stories would connect with our hearts. We’ll dive into a few of those stories (parables) together. As we study, we’ll discover the power of those stories and how they can apply to our lives, as well as the power of Jesus as a teacher and a storyteller.
