Use the Word of God to Overcome Mind Battlesنموونە
The Power of Your Words
Many people have had negative words spoken to them by their parents. They may have heard, “Don’t get in an accident,” “You’re going to have a heart attack,” “Crying will do you no good,” or something similar. Those words were death and brought emotional curses, but we have the ability to break free. We can turn this situation around. More importantly, we can ensure we are passing only blessings, not curses, on to our children.
If other people’s words can hurt us, our own words can certainly do the same. The words we choose can bring death or life to us.
You are in a position to create a divine turnaround and shift in your family. Even if you have already spoken negative words or curses, you can retract and change them. It is never too late to change.
Throughout Scripture, we can see that there is power in the tongue and the words we speak, yet we often don’t realize that the very words we speak can cycle back and put us in emotional turmoil and bondage. If we want to change our minds, we must be slow to speak. We will receive what we believe and what we speak. We cannot speak out that we are mentally ill, fearful, or depressed. The statements coming from our mouths must be powerful proclamations of the promises of God and encouraging words that truly represent the very best in us.
I believe we increase our faith by hearing the Word of God. I also believe we can use Scripture to apply the words we speak out into the atmosphere and have it bring forth life.
Who will you serve? Are you going to serve the Lord wholeheartedly? If so, then give Him your mind. Don’t spend another day renting out space to negative thoughts.
Choose not to allow fear and depression to manifest, get up, and serve the Lord. Get busy for the kingdom and remove every obstacle that is holding you back from the fullness of God. There is so much potential in you. Capture every thought, change your words, and change your life!
