Disciple-Maker's Visionنموونە

Judaism as it was taught in the Torah, as well as how it played out in history, was dialed in with one ethnic identity, one geographic focus, and one history. The promise to Abraham was for a great nation, and the command to Moses was the law for a nation. The plan, in short, was One God represented by One People.

For you on this side of the New Covenant, the same plan continues under fresh revision. As you read yesterday in John 17:20-23, Jesus connects the One People (Church) to the One God (Trinity) as the chemistry of his plan for the world. Then the world will know God sent his Son as Savior, and then the world will know God loves them. You don't get to be a Disciple-Maker alone.

In your prayer space today, open your heart to your church today, to connecting again in fresh ways. Let Jesus paint you a new and current picture of a One People (Church) with you in it. Notice what more that picture does for you in representing One God to the world? This has always been the plan.
