Walk Through The Bible 365 - November

DAY 8 OF 30

Alone

It’s easy to be a Christ-follower when people are getting healed, there’s food on the table, the economy is growing, and everyone’s happy. But what about when we’re faced with the opposite? When Jesus needed prayer support, his disciples were tired. When his captors came, he was abandoned. When questioned, his disciples denied any association with him. I pray we’re better than that, but I suspect we might be very much the same.

Prayer: Father God, forgive me when I’ve acted shy, reticent, or reluctant to embrace and defend your holy name. Give me the courage to be faithful to you in every way, dear Lord. You’ve given me so much. You’ve demonstrated your love in so many ways. Help me to sense your presence when I feel alone so that I stand firm in my faith. I know you are with me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
