ANTICIPATION OF WHAT IS YET TO COME!

This study is geared toward the expectation of Jesus' 2nd return, for He returns as ‘Head of the Church’ where He, as the groom, will receive His bride, the church!

"And he is the ‘head of the body, the church’: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence." Colossians 1:18

As the ‘High Priest,' He sits at Father God's right hand, interceding on our behalf as we lift our prayers before Him.

"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and ‘High Priest’ of our profession, Christ Jesus;" Hebrews 3:1

Israel is, of course, the chosen Land and the chosen people. God's plan is for His Son to rule and reign over this Holy Land one day, and he is rightly named the ‘Holy One of Israel.’

"Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the ‘Holy One of Israel." Isaiah 41:14

The horn of an animal represents its power; animals were once used as sacrifices, but Jesus, as the ultimate sacrifice, becomes the ‘horn (power) of our salvation.’

"And hath raised up a ‘horn of salvation’ for us in the house of his servant David." Luke 1:69

LET US PAUSE:

As sure as the scriptures reveal the person of Jesus Christ, the more our anticipation rises as we expectantly await His 2nd return! Because we know His return is imminent, let us be diligent in our daily walk with Him.
