God’s Vision, Your Unique Roleنموونە
It is impossible to construct a worthy life vision without wisdom from God. Wisdom invites us to consider what a godly vision for the rest of our lives might look like. Consider the following scriptural points as you begin to think about your personal life vision.
Our frailty, feebleness, and fragileness, God’s Word says, provoke us to number our days. Our days are numbered by God and they are flying by fast. The psalmist prays, “Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life” (Ps. 39:4).
Wisdom calls us to understand what our end will be. Moses’ great commission to the people of Israel includes discernment about our earthly ends as a critical ingredient of strategic wisdom.
The imminency of the coming of the Lord Jesus, personally at our death or for the whole earth at His second coming, calls us to wisely watch, wait, and work. Jesus introduced the concept of working during the day while it is light, for night is coming when no one can work (John 9:4).
We live in seductive, morally evil days and therefore must make the most of every opportunity in life for God in witnessing for Christ. We must understand the will of the Lord in seizing all circumstances for God.
Measuring our life in all its dimensions and its days is a wise move for us. That’s how we can live intentionally today and pursue tomorrow purposefully. The whole Bible urges us to pursue, search, and find wisdom from the Lord. It is the crucial resource for a purposeful future life—an intentional life of reflection, prescription, and application under the lordship of Christ.
