Romans 15:4 (KJV) says, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." By exploring the strengths and weaknesses of parents in the Bible, we can learn how to parent. Over the next 4 days, hope will arise in you as you learn how to support your children's spiritual and emotional well-being.
By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. Hebrews 11:23 (KJV)
It takes faith to rightly or effectively parent children of all ages. From infancy, Moses' parents saw that he was not an ordinary child.
When we see our children as proper, favored, and not ordinary, we will have no fear concerning their future. Our children are mighty warriors and weapons of warfare for God’s kingdom. Let's hold God’s truth concerning our children in mind. May we see as Moses' parents did.
Reflection: What are you noticing about your children's divine nature and God's purpose for their lives?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for my children. In the name of Jesus, open my eyes to see my children’s spiritual capacities and empower me to guide my children to maximize every gift you have given them. Thank you for granting my request. Alleluia!
