Born to Fly Like an Eagle!نموونە
The Heart and Lungs
Without its heart and lungs, an eagle is not able to fly to great heights. These vital organs are perfectly shaped and built for what an eagle needs to do: get enough oxygen to fly at high altitudes.
Oxygen, as we know, gives and sustains life.
That’s what God gives. As the Creator, He gave creation organs to function, to be able to live out the calling.
The heart is one of those organs that is somehow extra special, probably because it's often linked to love and passion, which makes life worth living for many.
That feeling that life is worth living is the passion that comes from God.
And because of that, believers are able to serve Him in an authentic, passionate way.
But what is that way?
Having a God-given vision doesn’t mean you already have the strategies to act on the vision.
For that, you need to first determine your passion(s) and strengths.
A biblical example of a passionate person with a vision?
Jesus Christ.
Jesus loves every person so much that He suffered for every single one. He placed aside His divinity to become a man, to live on Earth, and pay the ultimate price. Now He sits at the right hand of God.
Love and suffering seem to go hand in hand.
Passion can arise from physical and inner suffering. But how does that work?
Imagine you have a heart for the suffering victims of human trafficking experience. Your passion to help them moves you to act. Setting up, or working/volunteering for, an organization that creates awareness and a platform to fight human trafficking is a great idea.
The circumstances that invoke deep emotion become the callings that are nourished by the heart of God. Spend time with Him, and His will for you will become more evident. He will kindle in your heart what He has in mind for you.
Prayer
Dear Father, how amazing that You have given us passion. Thank You for the greatest sacrifice in my life. I pray that Your passionate heart will fill me with a desire to do something impactful for others around me. Will You reveal what passions are truly important?
