Victory Over “Bad Days”نموونە
Humanly Speaking, It's Impossible…
"'For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.'" (2 Chronicles 20:12, NIV)
Jehoshaphat had a crucially important decision to make. The context of this verse is that the gigantic armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and Edomites had set out to fight Judah.
Humanly speaking, Jehoshaphat and his army didn't stand a chance. Humanly speaking, the worst case scenario had happened, and it seemed the only thing they could do was surrender or devise an escape plan.
But Jehoshaphat chose differently! He "turned his attention to seek the LORD…" (2 Chronicles 20:3, NASB)
We, too, must make this decision over and over again. We must choose whether to let our worries and problems overwhelm us…or realize that our circumstances only seem hopeless when we view them from a human standpoint.
Praise God, He never says, "Oh I'm sorry, your problem is really too big for Me right now." As Jehoshaphat himself confessed, nothing is impossible for God: "'Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.'" (2 Chronicles 20:6, NASB)
NO ONE and NOTHING can stand against God—including any of your problems! I exhort you to turn to God today and bring Him your human weakness. Tell Him all your needs. (see Philippians 4:6, NLT) Tell Him that you need Him!
When you have hard days and don't know how to go on, it's usually because the enemy wants to discourage you. Everything you do can become stressful because your heart can't find rest. And then what happens? You become ineffective, considering the better that God has in mind for you!
I'd encourage you to ask yourself: could it be that a given situation has drained your strength, humanly speaking, to do what you've been wanting to do for God? This desire could be anything: loving your family, carrying out that task He placed on your heart, or perhaps something else.
If so, like Jehoshaphat, you have the opportunity to make a very important decision today!
Go forward—not with human power—but with divine power. Seek Him in your weakness. When He moves on your behalf, no person, no army, and no problem can refute it!
You're a miracle!
