Process and challenge to higher places
A person who is going to climb will not go empty-handed and do no preparation. There is a built-in list to prepare as well as other things like physical and mental training. This is because the process of climbing to a higher place is not an easy matter. We are required to always be ready to face any eventuality that may occur, whether it be bad weather, rough terrain, or other unexpected things.
It's the same with the journey of our lives as believers when we decide to go to a higher place which is the mountain of God. There are processes and challenges we must face that sometimes make us feel like giving up and just stopping. Some of us also feel like this hiking route isn't for us, or that we'll never get to the top. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the attitude of the heart in this faith journey to a higher place.
The first thing we have to do is believe. We must know and believe in God and His hands that will always guide our steps. The next step is to be sensitive and obedient to God's voice, even when it is contrary to the situation we see. It takes courage and determination to obey – something that the Lord counts as an offering that pleases Him. The next thing is to endure. We might think that endure has a negative meaning, but let's look at it from God's point of view. When we endure, we are being processed to see and judge things more clearly so that we can stay focused and decide the next step we should take in God.
In the process of our ascent, God never promised that it would be easy with no challenge.God only promises that He will always be with us in all situations. God's presence and providence are always there and right for us. Our part is to enjoy the process with God and never give up.
Happy climbing to the higher ground!
Reflection:
·What processes and challenges have you been through so far and how have you faced them?
·Are you willing to trust, obey, and endure in any given situation?

About this Plan
Our life journey as believers can be likened to a climb. We walk towards higher ground where God wants to reveal Himself, increase our capacity, process us to be like Him, and finally enable us to fulfill His calling. Through these devotionals, we learn about the meaning of a higher place and see new things. May you have a happy climbing to the higher ground!
