Passion Week: The Resurrection and the Lifeنموونە
The Resurrection and the Life
He is alive!
Jesus laid down His life for the whole of humanity to pay the cost of sin and free us, but then He conquered death itself and took His life back, and He is the reigning King. His work on the cross provides forgiveness and freedom, and He offers right standing before God and a relationship with God. No longer are we considered dead in sin, but we are alive in Jesus when we believe. Our souls have been eternally resurrected by grace through faith in Jesus, and we have access to all that Jesus is now. He is righteousness, so we have righteousness.
He is truth, so we know the truth. He is love, so we can love. He is home, so we have confidence. He is justice, so we claim that. He is light permeating the darkness. He is peace when it doesn’t make sense. He is joy no matter the circumstances. He is hope that does not disappoint. He is life abundant and life everlasting.
His final words to His followers were that now they, and we, are the storytellers of the amazing things Jesus has done. Now, we get to tell the story of Jesus and the victory and new life every human has an invitation to wherever we go, to whoever we come across. Some people don’t know the story and the truth. Yet, those who encountered His grace, love, and forgiveness are entrusted to tell the story.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and we find everything we need in Him.
What area of your life do you need the resurrection life to invade? Remind yourself of everything you have access to because of who Jesus is today. There is no part of your life that His life cannot restore and resurrect; there is nothing that can ever separate you from His love and acceptance.
