Wake Up!

DAY 5 OF 6

IT’S TIME TO USE YOUR VOICE

Sometimes it can feel easier to stay quiet than to use your voice. Using your voice may mean you run into confrontation, you face some fears, or you find yourself in some unknown territory. The enemy will try to tell you that your voice does not matter or cause you to doubt yourself. However, the true question is... did Jesus ever say that about you? No! God equips His people, working through them in every situation.

Even Moses doubted his abilities in the presence of God, feeling that he was not worthy of what God needed him to do. Moses had difficulty speaking in front of people, and his speech was slow. When Moses spoke his concerns, God assured, “I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4:11)

We are no different than Moses. He did not have a talent for persuasion and did not feel gifted at public speaking, but he allowed God to use the voice he did have. Even with slow speech, God was able to work through Moses in a stunning way and accomplish miracles. As believers, we have this same ability!

When the children of God speak, our voice has authority given to us by the Holy Spirit. It’s time to use this authority. Speak your ideas, stand up for what you know to be right, and pray with confidence, knowing that you have the authority.
